Jolly 2

Hoping your Holiday Season has been Merry and Bright!?!  Mine has been wonderful, lots of time spent with family and friends.

I still have quite a few holiday cards to share, so not quite over it from this perspective.  Here is one that I will be entering into Poppy Stamps Challenge. https://poppystamps.typepad.com/poppystamps/challenge/

The main feature of the card are the poinsettias which were stamped on watercolor paper.  I used color burst to add color and then fussy cut hem all out.  The base of the card is plain white card stock.  I used a lined wood mount stamp from I press to make the background with red and green.  The small square is die cur in sparkly white paper with a Lawn Fawn die and mounted.  Next I added the Jolly sentiment which is a Lil Inker die.  Both the sparkly and shiny papers are from Crafters Companion.  Once that was all set I added my poinsettias.  I added little golf pearls in the center and some blue pearls throughout.

That’s all today.  Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Jolly

It is hard to believe tomorrow is Christmas.  Another year flown by!  Time to enjoy family and reflect on how fortunate I feel to have loved ones, friends, employment, stamps and craft supplies (ahem) and so much more!

I sent/gave out roughly 65 holiday cards this year, each one different.  I still have about a dozen (give or take) to share.  Here is one that is just cute as can be.

This darling girl is from Trinity Stamps.  The cutest set called Seasonal Sweetheart.  She has many different goodies to hold, but this sweet bear is my personal fave.  The die cuts out her arms so they can open up for her to hold things.  I colored her with my Copics.  She is on top of a tag on which I stamped snowflakes and a portion of the sentiment.  The  “jolly” is die cut from Lil’ Inker Designs.  The perfectly matched paper is from Pinkfresh Studio and the card stock from SU!

My friend Laura says this girl reminds her of me.  Not sure why as I am not nearly this cute, but I will take it as a compliment!

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve if you celebrate!  Regardless of what you do or do not celebrate, wishing you a wonderful day and peaceful December!

Christmas Cookies

Happy Sunday!  Just a few days til Christmas!  Do you bake during the holidays?  We did this year and made a few different treats- chocolate chip (my hubby's version of holiday cookies), sugar cookies (including bigfoot in an ugly sweater), peanut butter chocolate fudge and peanut butter balls (those were my fave).

This card was for a friend of my who does a whole lot of baking.  She is Novell of Novell's Nom Nom's and here cookies are delicious (way better than mine)!  You can check out her awesome Facebook page here

This is about 4.25 X 4.25 if I recall correctly.  I don't recall who make the DPs.  The wreath is from Gina Marie Designs cut in a light blue from SU!  The image is from Gerda Steiner and I colored it with my Copics in these light and fun colors and cut it out using my Scan n' Cut.

Isn't the little mousy cute?!  I stamped something on the inside as well:

OK, enjoy that holiday baking and thanks for your visit!

Candy Cane Wishes

Oh boy, I am ready for some days off.  I am soooo weary by work and all the hustle and bustle of the season.  But it is Saturday!   woohoo!

Wanted to share a fun card featuring some SugarPea Designs.  This stamp set was love at first sight, and I still love it.

I stamped and colored my image with my Copics.  Then I fussy cut the image out.  I pulled out some Doodlebug Designs DP, bright red with hearts and I added it as the first layer.  On top of that I added this Lawn Fawn Polaroid die cut and stamped  the sentiment, and put my little elf inlside.  I wanted to pull out the greens in the image so I added a couple bight green layers behind the red.  The last touch was adding the holly berry brad.

I hope you like this card and I appreciate your visit.

Tropical Holiday

Here in the Pacific North West typically have rain or dry sky for Christmas, occasionally snow, but NEVER hot weather.  Something about the idea of hot weather seems odd to me, but I suppose for many it is perfectly normal.  So when a friend asked me to make her a tropical holiday card, I had to think a little harder then normal.  In addition to the tropical thought, I was also inspired by the MFT color challenge:

Once I new my parameters, I picked out this darling MFT Penguin in Paradise set. I knew I wanted to make it have Christmas patterned shorts and a bright green popsicle.  Here is the card I came up with:

Squee!  The colors are perfect with those light pink cheeks, the various colors of waves and the layers of patterned papers!  I set the little guys scene by die cutting these palm trees from Gina Marie designs and adding this layer of sand and various layers of waves cut with Mama Elephant dies.  I loved enclosing it in these recessed circles of bright red paper.  Having the palm trees peek out of the circles makes me happy.  I added this string of holiday lights and coated them with glossy accents, just like I had done with the popsicle.  Last I added the sentiment and the layers on which it sits.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do!  Thanks for visiting and happy Thursday!

Hufflepuff Christmas

Today I am sharing a magical merge of stamps from two fabulous stamp companies. The reason is because a friend of mine asked me to make a non-traditional Christmas card in the colors of the Harry Potter Hufflepuff House.  Soo.... A little research reminded me that the critter associated with this house  is the badger.

So with this as my inspiration, here is the card I created:

Isn't it cute and perfect for a HP Hufflpuff Christmas?!  The Herringbone paper, the yellow, the sentiments and HP goodies from Trinity Stamps and the Badger from Hello Bluebird.  💛❤💛❤

I made this card by stamping out the Hello Bluebird Badger and his accessories and carefully colored him with my Copics.  I stamped out the stack of books, the chocolate frog and the wand from the Trinity Stamps and colored those as well.  Setting them aside I created my card base.  I don't recall whom makes the herringbone paper, but the yellow cardstock is from SU! and I cut it out using a Lawn Fawn circle die.  I added a layer of acetate with falling snow from Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment is from Trinity's Magical Sentiments set.  It comes with a die cut and I used black foam.  I put it all together and added a little ribbon and wahlah!

Isn't it a magical combination?!

Sending Joy

Do you celebrate Christmas?  I obviously do, given all the cards I have shared.  Whatever you celebrate, I hope it is good.

Here is my latest holiday card.

This card features Trinity Stamps Joyeux Noel stamp set. It is such a beautiful image.  I stamped it with Antique Linen distress ink and did a no line coloring with my Copics.  The circle die is from Waffle Flower cut on this shinny red paper from Crafter's Companion.  I mounted it on this amazing bright red paper (I can't remember who makes this).  Lastly, I added ephemera from Pinkfresh Sudio.  I think it is such a pretty combo with the red and gold, I hope you do too.

Here are a few other shots for you to take a gander at.

The question is, what do you suppose this deer is looking at?  The stars?  Santa?  Something else?

Falala Llama

Hello Monday!

I have a fun card today that I made for the current SugarPea Designs Mix it up Challenge

This card features the Llama Just Say stamp set.  Such a cute set and not sure it is meant to be a holiday set, but why not?!  I stamped the imaged and colored with my Copics.  It was fun to do it with a holiday colors.  The sentiment and stars are from a separate stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio), I wanted the holiday feel.  The stars were stamped with distress ink and the sentiment was embossed in gold.  The paper is also from Pinkfresh and I cut it using my Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die.  I added this ribbon.  Then I added a layer of red behind to draw out the red in the scarf and stars.

Here is another shot.  I hope you think it is as cute as I do.

Thanks for your visit today.

Merry & Bright

Are you having a Merry and Bright Holiday Season?  I hope so!  I have been busy and on the go myself.  Wanted to share this holiday card with you.

This card has some of the very fun critters from Hello Bluebird.  I love how darling they are and I stamped and colored them with my copics.  The trees, hills and circle die are all from Lawn Fawn.  I set the scene and used these fun papers from and Carta Bella sets.  The background sets are cut using Gina Marie designs.

Here is one more shot for you to enjoy.

International Tea Day- CLC and Studio Katia

Happy International Tea Day!  Coffee Loving Cardmakers are collaborating with Studio Katia for a blog hop to celebrate!

You should have arrived here from Kerry Urbatch's blog and you have arrived at the last stop along the way.  If you haven't started from the beginning you should head to the Studio Katia blog or the CLC blog to see the full listing. Hopefully you have left comments along the way so you can be eligible to win the prize from Studio Katia!  Keep reading all the way through for full details.

Here are my  creations for today and since we are staring down the holidays, I thought I'd start with a holiday card.

This card features the Studio Katia set Cup of Thanks!  It is so very pretty!  I stamped and embossed it with gold and then colored it with what I thought would be good holiday colors figuring it might sit on someone's desk or table. I used my Copics to color it.  The background paper is from PinkFresh Studio, I cut it out with an AE die.  I wanted to pull out the gold in the embossed image, so I added a bit of gold glitter paper.  I stamped the sentiment from SK and added this die cut hugs in both red and gold.  I added a layer of red to pop it out.

Here is my close up:

My second card is perfect for the post-holiday rush.  The perfect thank you to send to that special someone for a gift, or for spending time together, whatever it the reason might be.

I stamped and die cut this same set.  I colored it with my prismacolor pencils.  I love those, but sometimes want a bit more pop, so I brought in my zigs to add that depth (this works well as long as you don't add water).  I used some of the SK Sunny Topaz crystals for the berries on the set.  I added my tag with the thanks sentiment, tying it on with twine.  I mounted this on this backdrop, the first layer a light layer of Bazzil paper in blue die cut using another AE die.  I added a layer of Navy behind it and mounted on my base.  This card is 4.25 X 4.25.

The close up:

Studio Katia is offering a $50 prize.  Those that comment on all posts are eligible.  Commenting to be open from December 15 - December 22nd with the winner to be posted on Sunday, December 23rd at 6 am pacific.

Thanks and visiting and good luck!

Believe in your Elf

Hey friends!  I am here today with an encouraging holiday card for you!  It is pretty fun, if I don't say so myself.  Hope you like it too, here goes....

This fun creation features images from Poppy Stamps and Memory box.  I loved them both so much and thought they would be fun together.  I stamped them and colored them with my copics.  The Memory Box one has little bits and pieces you put in the snowglobe, so fun.  I had already used my Tim Holtz Stencil with my distress inks to create the white panel.  I also had this scrap of paper with the red stripes and together these all made the perfect combo.  Once I set them all together I mounted them on this green base and stamped the sentiment along the side.

What do you think?!  I hope you like it, I had a lot of fun making it!

National Cocoa Day- CLC and Stamps of Life

Happy National Cocoa Day!  The Coffee Loving Cardmakers are collaborating with the Stamps of Life for a fun blog hop!  This hop has prizes... but you'll have to read all they way through for details.

You should have arrived here from Laurel Seabrook's blog.
If you didn't start at the beginning or got lost along the way, head over to Stamps of Life or the CLC blog to get the full list.  I am last on the list, but hopefully you won't find me to be lacking! ;)

My card today is holiday themed, but I think you will find it filled with fun, non-traditional colors.

My card features a whole lot of scrap paper. I couldn't even tell you who it is from, but it is so fun, I just couldn't let it go.  So I busted it out and used the Stamps of Life Hot Chocolate dies to make this fun cup and this tasty looking hot cocoa.  I loved this paper so much and it matched the background paper well, so I die cut that background piece using AE die.  I thought the sentiments would be fun as shown. You'll notice I used some glossy accents on the whipped cream and added these from sprinkles.

Here is another shot:

Stamps of Life is offering a $25 dollar prize to someone who comments along the way.  Commenting is open from Dec. 13 - 20th.  The winner will be announced on Saturday Dec. 22nd at 6 am PDT.

Thanks for visiting today!

Warm Hugs

Happy Wednesday!  I have so many holiday cards to share, so I am here today to share one.

Aren't they cute!  I stamped out the Neat & Tangled & SSS collaboration set from the 2017.  It is a fall set, but it makes for a perfect winter card as well.  Everything comes form the set minus the Holly on the cake.  I stamped and colored these cuties form with my Copics.  I paper pieced the scarf on the bear.  The sentiment from Love Cynthia is stamped on green and the bottom border is die cut using a Pretty Pink Posh die.  I placed that on top of this die cut circle form SugarPea Designs.  The background paper is cut using an Avery Elle die.

Here is a close up.

I think they are darling and so glad they are sharing. :)
