Going Retro!

Hey, hey!  Here again today with another fun holiday card for another fun challenge!  This time I am playing with The Card Concept Challenge.

I LOVE this color combo for the holidays, it is so fun and chic and sparkly!  Here is my creation for the challenge using the Clean and Layered style.:

So much fun product here!  Especially the SugarPea Designs elf!!!  So dang cute!  I colored him using my zigs and watercolor paper.  There is some fun DP and Crafter's Companion Luxury Cardstock (BLING!).  In the very front is a nice Memory Box die.  The sentiment is a wood stamp and I completed on the inside of the card- it says sparkle.  Love it!

Thanks for your visit!

Mover's and Shakers

Hi Friends!  Wanting to share a fun interactive card with you today.  Holiday Hugs from Craftin' Desert Divas is sooooo cute!  I love the little trolls in this set they fit perfectly with all things mysterious and whimsical.  Here is my creation:

I have colored this sweet Santa Elf with my Copics.  The backdrop is a combo of Echo Park paper and a Simon Says Stamp snow die and this sweet little town scene.  I separated the trees from the buildings and colored them to add a little green to the foreground.  The slider die from Lawn Fawn add's just a little extra magic to the scene.  I love how as he slides across and you can see the sentiment as if he is chuckling as he soars through the sky!

Winter Joy & Week of Giving Thanks Winner!

Hello!  I am so glad you have come by today.  I want to share with you some gorgeous holiday stamps and share won the Week of Giving Thanks $10 Crafter's Companion credit!

First I'll share my card.

This card features the poinsettia from the Sheena Light Up Christmas set.  I embossed it in Cold and then used my SN Markers to color the image.  I also gold embossed the sentiment from Winter Joy on this lovely DP.  I cut the DP using a Gina Marie Die and placed it on the Kraft CS.  I the gold and the  colors, they make for a nice traditional card.   Here is another view of the flowers.

OK, onto the winner.  I used random.org and the winner is #7-

Bah Humpug!

I have Christmas cards coming out my ears!  I am not sure I have quite enough to send yet, but I feel like I should by now, because that is all I make lately!

Today I have a couple of fun ones to share with you that I like to call Ugly Pugly.   If you don't follow hold on just a minute and you will see why.

Now do you get it?!  Haha.  I've made some ugly sweater cards using the Clearly Besotted Bah-Humpug set!

Both cards feature the PTI sweater die.  I used some various Echo Park Paper to make it fun.  The small circles are cut using MFT dies.  The stars of the show, the Pugs, are colored with Copics and basking in all their glory.  Inside I've stamped a SSS sentiment, "Eat, Drink and Be Tacky!"

These cards just make me chuckle more than anything.  I hope someone get's a kick out of receiving them!

Happy Friday!

Red and Green

Happy Wednesday!  I am dropping in today to share a quick and traditional Christmas Card.  I have to tell you I really do love the red and green of this card, it just makes me soooo happy and puts me in the holiday mood.

I honestly can't remember who makes this stencil, but I love it, so cute with the green in distress ink from Ranger.  The circle die is from SugarPea designs.  The tiny sweet Santa, he is from Memory Box. I'll say it again, I just love how the colors pop!

Week of Giving Thanks

Hello friends!  As we approach Thanksgiving here in the US Crafter's Companion is sponsoring a Week of Giving Thanks.  In addition to offering a sale over at the CC website, myself and some of my fellow DT members are giving away $10 gift certificates to CC!!!  Yay....double score!

Before I give you the details, let me share my Week of Giving Thanks project:

Isn't that wreath lovely?!  I created this using a masking technique while stamping the Sheena Douglas Perfect Partners Little Acorn Stamp set.  I colored it using my new and fancy ColorTint Pencils.  They were released at the last HSN show and so fun because you can use them direct or like watercolors (I chose watercolors).  They are so bold!  The sentiment from this set is so fun and you may have noticed that I gold embossed it to go with the Gold Luxury Cardstock.  A little corrugated cardboard adds some extra texture just for fun. Here is a close up.

OK, so here is what you have to do to win that GC, leave a comment telling me what craft supply you are most thankful for!  This will close on November 26th at 12:00 pm.

Thanks for your visit and good luck!

Dream

Did you watch the latest Crafter's Companion show on HSN?  There were some pretty awesome products!  For example, did you see the Die'Sire Create a Card Decorative Edge Set 2?  Pretty awesome...

The best part is that you don't just have to use these dies on edges....

Isn't it fun how that die looks just like waves?!  I think so.

Now here is how I made this card.  I used Ranger distress inks to create the sky background.  Once I had that as I wanted I used my edge die to cut into several different blue cardstocks to create the waves and the look of depth.  The sentiment is pre-printed on vellum (also from Crafter's Companion).  I then added the boats and the woodchip stars. Here is another angle.

OK, thanks for the visit and hope you enjoyed this post!

Chill Out

Hellllllloooo!  Happy Veteran's Day to all those out there who served!  Thank you for all you do.

I was inspired the other day by the most recent Your Next Stamps Challenge and wanted to share my card with you. Here is the color palette and sketch:

They are so fun!  And I couldn't resist using these fun monster stamps with those colors!

Do you think I hit the mark with my bright colored monster friends?  They are from the Silly Monster's Chill Out and the sentiment is from Warm Christmas Wishes.  I love the merry bright and fun feel!  The dies are from Gina Marie and Sugar Pea Designs and the snowflakes from Little B.

Thanks for the visit!

Warm and Fuzzy

Happy Friday!  I am so pleased that the weekend is almost here.  I had quite the busy weekend last weekend with my bambino's 10th birthday. We had a ton of fun but I am ready for some rest. But before I do wanted to share some warm and fuzzy greetings.

This card features some MFT stamps that I picked up over at Drive by Crafts.  Love this set and it pairs perfectly with the Lawn Fawn DP.  A sparkly blue fish ta boot!

Do card catalog systems still exist in libraries?  They must but it has been a long time since I used one that isn't online.

Thanks for your visit today!

Who's your Mummy?

No, I am not asking who is your Daddy, I want to know who is your Mummy?  OK, forgive the momentary silliness, I couldn't help but crack this dumb joke.  Also forgive me for being late with this Halloween card.

This fun mummy is a fun stamp from SugarPea Designs.  I enjoyed coloring him just right.  I used my distress inks to ink up the frame and interior background.  This fun frame is one of my fave Paper Smooches Dies.  The background paper is fun, I have had it in my stash for quite some time and I cut it using an Avery Elle die.  A little twine and done.

HIppo-Birdie to You!

My delightful little girl is having a birthday today!  I can't believe she is getting so big.  She is now a tween- Yikes!  I have to get the most out of the next few years before she turns into a teen, lol.

I made this sweet birthday card for her.

This is perfect for our little family of three.

The card layout is from Sketch Saturday.  I used various DPs, but the purple checkers are from Crafter's Companion and cut using a die from SugarPea Designs.  The stamps are from MFT and sooooo cute.  I enjoyed using this pastel color palette and hope my darling girl likes it.

Happy Birthday Soph, I love you to the moon!

Have you heard the NEWS?

I am guest designing over at the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's!!!  So stinkin' exciting!  You can see my intro post here.

Today is my first live post and I just have a little sneak peak for you here.  But if you head over to the blog and visit me there it would tickle me pink!

Thanks!
